The 87th Annual Golden Globe Awards were a night to remember this year, and didn’t cease to amaze the stunning guests. Stars like Meryl Streep, Jennifer Aniston, George Clooney, and Amy Adams were treated to Moet champagne cocktails, seared arctic char and filet mignon, to a dessert trio of chocolate alliance salted caramel, hazelnut daquoise, and lemon cheesecake. The Hollywood Foreign Press knows how to throw a party; with diamonds, Dior, and glitz galore, the Beverly Hilton was the place to be.
Executive Chef, Troy N. Thompson, of the Beverly Hilton said,“I take great pride in creating this menu for the Golden Globe Awards that’s as extraordinary as the awards ceremony itself,” In Style Magazine. “Chef Thompson took great care in selecting fresh, local produce as well. He started the guests with a modern spin on an old classic; a waldorf salad with a lemon emulsion dressing. He then followed the salad with a roasted onion-marinated filet mignon and slow baked arctic-char with potato croquette, heirloom cherries, and tomato fondue accompanied by black Tuscan kale. He finished the meal off with three mini-desserts for every guest, a trio of cassis lemon cheesecake, chocolate alliance salted caramel, and hazelnut dacquoise.” Each course was a beautifully orchestrated masterpiece in and of itself. No detail was missed, and no expense was spared.
The Golden Globes are special because unlike most film and music award shows that seat the guests in stadium style seats, the globes serve dinner, drinks, and dessert around elegantly adorned tables.
